Since the introduction of the the ‘sustainable concept’ by the World Commission on Environment and Development in the year 1987, the word Sustainability has seen a surge in its usage, only varying in context with each individual or organization. As we move towards a world where every product and solution developed is obliged to have sustainability at its core, it is highly important now, more than ever, to define what ‘Sustainability’ means for us.
By definition, Sustainability denotes ‘the ability to exist constantly’, when simply put. This is rather a broader definition, raising a lot of subjective questions, a multitude of viewpoints and obscurity - Sustainability to whom or what? - of the company’s profit? Of the employees’ perks? Of the customer competitiveness? Or of nature’s existence?
To us, ‘Sustainability’ is all of this. At BR, we believe that one cannot exist in isolation from another. ‘Sustainability’ is the core principle that connects all our ideologies and we trust that ‘Sustainability’ is best understood when we heed to what our society needs.
BRiskers aim at improving human lives through Chemistry. We add value to lives and ‘Sustainability’ is the by-product. This very approach of ours ensures the Sustainability of our company’s profit, our employees’ perks and our customers’ competitiveness.
However, it’s also important to note that what we do today to add value might not be relevant or significant tomorrow. Human needs change and evolution is the key. And hence, we improve. Because what our ancestors had developed to add value may not be applicable today and what we do today may not be applicable tomorrow!
We evolve as an organization to cater to tomorrow’s needs and that’s why, at BR, R&D is the core of everything we do. Our in-house R&D, collaboration with Universities and CRO’s are the BR ways to ‘Sustainability’.
At BR, we take the ‘Sustainability’ of our planet very seriously and we regularly introspect our standpoint in the same.
Our contribution to the planet’s Sustainability begins with choosing suppliers who consider sustainability an important part of their organization and society. We ensure we only use raw materials that are APEO/NPEO-free. Also, our production processes are designed to ensure zero wastage of water.
Our products are made in such a way that they do their parts in contributing to the conservation of our planet. This is where we believe we can contribute the maximum and feel proud to be able to create a positive impact on the planet through our products.
Through Sustainability, we promise to stand up for the FUTURE, do you?
